IMBAC Alpine Club
Located in Smiggin Holes, IMBAC is an on snow lodge accommodation for members and their guests.
In summer the club accepts bookings from the public as well as members. It has been providing accommodation and supporting juniors to learn to ski and race through the junior training program since 1966. IMBAC’s great hospitality, along with the uniqueness of Smiggin Holes, makes it popular with families who return year after year.
While the lodge is founded on promoting skiing, it is available all year with the option to hire the whole lodge. We welcome not only skiers and boarders, but bush walkers and school groups to name a few.
It has a large communal lounge/ dining area and a well-appointed kitchen. It also has a bar where you can catch up and enjoy a few beverages with other guests after a rewarding day in the mountains. Downstairs we have a large games room for the kids equipped with an entertainment system, DVDs and table tennis table.
IMBAC has six two-person and five four-person bedrooms for up to 32 people with shared newly renovated bathrooms throughout. It also has a ski storage room, repair benches, locker access and a drying room.
During the winter season the lodge is fully catered and run by live-in managers who provide three meals a day including hot breakfast, and a three course dinner. All linen and towels are provided for your stay in winter.

Lodge Open for Summer & Winter Bookings
Summer and Winter 2022
IMBAC is pleased to advise we are open for both Summer and Winter bookings pending Government requirements. We have implemented a covid safety plan and cancellation clause for your peace of mind.
Summer bookings are restricted to the same party and you will have exclusive use of the club during your stay. Members and Guests for summer bookings are to provide and cook their own food, ensure they only use the one bathroom facilities and ensure that the club is thoroughly cleaned after each use.
The club is also open and taking bookings for the 2023 Winter season. Members can book from 1 Jan 2023, Guest only bookings from 1st Feb 2023. We have implemented Covid Safe plans are following guidelines issued to the club. Cancellations due to Covid will be accepted.
