Rooms
There is eleven guest rooms comprising two, three or four beds of varying in size and configuration with windows looking out onto the snow.
Each room has a vanity basin, hanging/storage space, bunk beds, and a heater which you can adjust for your room.
All linen is supplied including towels, pillows, blankets and sheets.
SHARED ROOM DISCLOSURE
IMBAC provides bunk style accommodation and our rooms are a mix of two and four beds. Occasionally
you may be required to share with other guests or members if your specific room configuration is not fully
booked, and alternative arrangements are unsuitable.
If you would like to ensure a room to yourself, you can pay for additional beds or bring additional members or guests in your booking.
Facilities
The lodge has a large lounge room with panoramic views of the Smiggin Holes ski area, comfy lounges, a bar area and stereo facilities. IMBAC is BYO alcohol with extensive cool storage with fridge and freezer space available in the bar.
The dining area shares the same fabulous views, with tea, coffee and snacks available all day. IMBAC has a large, commercial kitchen, which is fully catered in winter by our in-house managers.
Additional facilities include:
- Newly renovated shared bathrooms
- Large ski / board storage room with the best drying room on the mountain for all your wet or cold ski gear
- Games room for the kids to play in, complete with table tennis table, plus more comfy lounges and extensive DVD collection for days you don’t want to hit the slopes.
- Large entry foyer in which you can store your gear if you arrive before check-in (3pm) or want to continue skiing after checkout (1:45 pm).
- Laundry for those wanting to catch up before you get home
- Parking (limited to first requests when booking)
The lodge ensures there is a safe, friendly and relaxing environment by only enabling members and their guests to stay at the lodge.
Additional Information
Smoking
To comply with government regulations and for general fire safety, IMBAC has a non-smoking policy. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the IMBAC leasehold, including the balcony and the entrances/fire exits to the lodge.
Visitors
Due to COVID -19, there are strictly no visitors to the club any time. Only persons listed on the booking form are to access the lodge.
Luggage Storage
Members and guests can store luggage and equipment in the Lodge on arrival and departure days to maximise their time in the mountains.
Check-in
- Advise the Lodge Managers of your arrival
- Changeover of rooms occurs after 3pm. If you arrive before this, please feel free to leave your luggage and equipment in the games room and downstairs foyer
- Remove your car from the IMBAC car parking spaces as soon as you have unloaded and park it in the Smiggins car park (even if you have purchased car parking)
Check-Out
- Your room should be cleaned and vacated by time advised by managers
- Strip your beds and put used sheets, pillowcases and towels in the linen bags provided
- Pack blankets and pillows neatly into your room storage areas
- Clean your room using the equipment provided (instructions included with equipment)
- Feel free to leave your luggage and equipment in the games room and downstairs foyer once you have vacated your room so you can make the most of your final day at the snow!
- Remove your car from the IMBAC car parking spaces as soon as you have finished loading it and park it in the Smiggins car park (even if you have purchased car parking)
Booking Periods
Winter Pre-Season
The IMBAC Pre-season usually commences on the Friday of the June long weekend and usually ends the week before official opening of the lodge for winter.
Winter
The Winter Season Opens on Friday the 25th of June 2021 this year. The club usually closes the season on the last weekend of September. On occasions (usually depending on snow conditions), the Club may extend its “Winter” to align with the Resort operations and/or increased demand.
Note: Winter services provided by Kosciusko National Park or the Resort (ski lifts, restaurants, bars) and over snow transportation may not be available during the extension.
Summer
The remainder of the year is referred to as “Summer”. In Summer, there are no Managers, and only limited facilities are provided.
Booking Length
The club operates on Mid‐week (5 nights – Sunday to Friday), and Weekend (2 nights ‐ Friday to Sunday) bookings.
Shorter booking applications can be made if vacancies exist within 28 days of the stay or to fill a cancellation.
Bed Allocation
Members and Guests now book by room, each room has a specific number of beds that can be occupied but these may change as the total occupancy numbers are limited to 32. (Children under 5 are not included in this total)
There are 5 x Four Bed Rooms and 6 x 2 Bed Rooms. All are Bunk style accommodation in varying size and configuration.
Meals
During the winter season, IMBAC provides three fully catered meals a day. A 2 course Breakfast and 3 course Dinner are cooked and Served by the management.
Parking
There is a limited number of parking spaces available for members and guests. These spots are available for $60 for the weekend or $120 for the mid-week period. Lodge parking can be pre-booked and paid for when you make your booking.
Club Vehicle (Troopie)
The club has an eight (8) seater Toyota Landcruiser Troop Carrier. This vehicle is to be used by the Managers in place of their own vehicle for the season and to carry out any necessary club business.
It is also available for guests to shuttle between Sawpit Creek car park and the Lodge.
