Junior Training
IMBAC provides a Junior Training program to introduce our young members to skiing and allow them to grow in the enjoyment and community of the sport. The goal of Junior Training is to harness and develop the individual skills and competencies of participants in a safe environment, giving them access to their full potential. IMBAC prides itself in the spirit of sportsmanship and enjoyment encouraged and upheld by all participants of this program.
This program is run and primarily funded by IMBAC, who absorb most of the cost of professional tuition.
Private lessons are conducted with some of Perisher’s most highly competent and qualified instructors, including some past Junior Training graduates!
The lessons are run in 3-hour blocks for 5 days, where Junior Members are taught from basic to advanced levels, and a fun race is also run as part of the 4th day’s lesson. As IMBAC invests as much as $30,000 each year in this program, some requirements are necessary for participants, including attendance at all lessons, wearing of helmets, and good behaviour from all involved.
All participants are encouraged to race for the club at the Junior Illawarra Interclub and/or Smiggin’s Bowl.
These races are fun and social events, which allow you to practice your skills and involve yourself in the club community.
IMBAC
Senior Training
IMBAC offers Senior Race Training to senior members of the club. This program aims to improve the abilities of all participants from basic to advanced, while most importantly HAVING FUN. Lessons are conducted in small groups and are designed to maximise the learning of all participants, along with being an enjoyable social experience. Members who attend training are encouraged to represent the club in races.
Training Enquiries & Applications
Racing
Racing is a great opportunity to meet other members of the IMBAC community and other club lodges. Racing is for downhill skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing.
Club Merchandise
IMBAC Merchandise is available to be purchased through “Your Workware”. You can purchase any item from the main online store. To include the IMBAC branding on these items, choose the Embroidered Logo option to pay the $10.00 fee.
There is an option to collect the items from their Cooma Store. To select this option, select postage of $10.00 then enter “IMBAC instore pickup” to remove the postage charge.
