Troopie

Club Vehicle Policy

IMBAC has an 11seater Toyota Land Cruiser Troop Carrier. This vehicle is to be used by the Managers in place of their own vehicle for the season, to carry out any necessary IMBAC business (e.g; trips to Cooma or Canberra for supplies etc.).

The Lodge vehicle is to be driven by a volunteer driver (Member or Guest) to bring other drivers back up from Sawpit Creek car Park Friday and Sunday afternoons after having parked their own vehicles.

It will operate in the same way on Friday and Sunday mornings to take drivers down to Sawpit Creek car park to retrieve their own vehicles.

These times are flexible around the hours of 7.00 am and 6.00 pm subject to discussion with the managers and other Members and Guests.

For this service to be successful, run smoothly and continue to operate, common sense must prevail and the following points must be observed and adhered to:

  • On arrival at the lodge, place your name on the whiteboard provided (in foyer and/or upstairs in the bar area) if you wish to use this service.
  • Maximum of 11 persons per trip.
  • Drivers must be licensed – normal license.
  • NO drivers under 25 years of age.
  • The driver must fill out the log sheet before obtaining the key from the Managers
  • Late or out of the ordinary arrivals may arrange for the use of the vehicle with at least 2 days prior notice and subject to vehicle and driver availability.
  • NO smoking in the vehicle.
  • ALL seat belts must be worn.
  • Set times are 7.00am and 6.00pm only on Fridays and Sundays.
  • National parks require all vehicles to have chains with it at all times during the ski season

Managers have full control over Troop carrier use. As such, the above schedule is subject to change throughout the season.

We hope that this free service will benefit everyone and ease the past problems of getting to and from Sawpit Creek car park. We would also appreciate your cooperation with the smooth running of this free service.

  • The vehicle is NOT to be used as a substitute for hiring chains.
