IMBAC is a not-for-profit ski lodge where every dollar goes back into the club to promote and develop skiing and snowboarding. Becoming a member means joining a community of people who share a love of the mountains and a passion for the sport.

Membership gives you:

• Access to book the lodge at the lowest possible rates.

• Priority access to bookings before open to guests.

• Opportunities to take part in Junior or Senior Training on allocated weeks.

✨ Junior Training
Our Junior Training program is run and primarily funded by the club to introduce young members to skiing in a fun and safe environment. The focus is on building skills, confidence, and community spirit. IMBAC prides itself on sportsmanship and enjoyment, with instructors who are club members themselves.

⛷️ Senior Training
Senior members can take part in training and represent the club at interclub races, including the iconic Smiggin’s Bowl.

Membership allows you to book the lodge accommodation at the lowest possible rate and be involved in Junior or Senior Training on allocated weeks.

Types of Membership

• Senior Membership

• Junior Membership (under 18 years)

• Life Membership

Membership fees are payable on joining.

• Children of members may join as juniors with a reduced joining fee.

• Junior members automatically become eligible for Senior Membership at 18, with payment of the senior membership fee.

• Spouses/partners of Senior Members are eligible for Senior Membership at a reduced rate once the Senior Member has held membership for 5 years.

• All Senior Members must pay annual subscriptions which are set by the board and due in the first quarter of the year (A notice will be issued for this). Memberships are held for life unless subscriptions remain unpaid for two (2) years.

Becoming a Member
Traditionally, Senior Members are referred by an existing contributing Senior Member, with all applications approved by the IMBAC Board.

However, the Committee is always open to considering new applications on a case-by-case basis. If you’re interested in joining, we’d love to hear from you. We encourage prospective members to reach out, share their interest in skiing, and tell us why they’d like to be part of IMBAC.

Annual subscriptions are payable in the first quarter of each year (a notice is issued to all members). Membership is held for life unless subscriptions remain unpaid for two consecutive years.
